LINWOOD AERIAL TOUR
Film by: Bob Felderman
At the request of the Linwood Cemetery Board of Directors, a flyover to provide aerial photographs was shot and sent to them to develop an updated layout for grave locations. Before the photographs were completed, a rain storm passed to the north of the city, and video was shot in 2023. In 2021, the photographer made some video and photographs as part of another assignment. This video is a compilation of Linwood Cemetery .

On October 5, 2024, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, (SUVCW), planted the Liberty tree on the hillside overlooking the veteran's section at Linwood.
The Liberty tree is in celebration of the 250th year anniversary of the American Civil war that will be observed in 2026.
This is the first Liberty tree to be planted in Iowa. It is a burr oak, one of the trees to be recognized as a Liberty tree. A plaque has been ordered and will be placed at the base of the tree upon its arrival.
